Job Description: Role-Human Systems Integration Engineer III Location: Onsite – San Diego, CA, US Job Overview: As a Human Systems Integration (HSI) Engineer III, you will play a critical role in ensuring that human factors are integrated into the engineering and development processes of NAVWAR systems. Your work will involve conducting thorough assessments of requirements, concepts, and resources across multiple domains to enhance system performance and user experience. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic recommendations to address enterprise-wide process and procedural challenges, ensuring alignment with policies and products. Assist in the development, review, and publication of Naval Operational Architectures (NOA), standards, competency development models, and processes to maintain consistency across work products during the RDT&E lifecycle. Participate in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of network/web-based collaboration tools for NAVWAR engineering and business operations in RDT&E. Offer functional and technical support for developing enterprise architectures that support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts. Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements. A Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program in engineering, physical science, or mathematics is required, along with at least 6 years of experience in Government-related Research and Development (R&D), Test and Evaluation (T&E), and systems acquisition programs. A minimum of 4 years of relevant HSI engineering experience is required, including expertise in at least 3 of the following areas: o HSI design, installation, integration, and test support. o Multi-domain HSI engineering analysis, impact assessments, and trade-off studies. o Development of design documentation and specifications. o HSI-related engineering requirements, performance, and risk analysis. o HSI test planning, procedures development, test conduct, analysis, and reporting. o Knowledge of Naval operations from unit through operational staff and HQ levels. o Experience in mission task analysis, top-down functional analysis, and critical task analysis. Familiarity with systems of systems (SoS) interface management, controls, processes, and documentation standards. Understanding of the risks associated with NOA Architecture development and implementation. Experience evaluating cybersecurity technical approaches to support system design and development. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
