Job Description: Our non-profit client is seeking a Budget & Planning Manager to oversee the financial planning and budgeting processes.Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute budgeting strategies that align with company objectives.
- Collaborate with department heads to create accurate, resource-optimized budgets.
- Monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Conduct financial reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain precise financial records, track budget performance, and deliver regular updates to stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and effective financial management.
- Lead and mentor a team of budget analysts, fostering continuous improvement and accountability.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, clearly communicating complex financial data.
- Participate in strategic planning, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
- Evaluate and implement operating cost allocations to enhance financial reporting accuracy.
- Oversee and support the month-end close process for timely financial results.
- Partner with the CFO on special projects, offering financial analysis and support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Budget Manager or similar role, with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting methodologies, and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools; advanced Excel skills are a must.
