Job Description: Our client / the Company is seeking an accounting manager to join their growing team and is offering above-market compensation, great WLB, and a remote working environment.
Industry – Healthcare Services and Primary care provider | Pre-IPO
Comp band – Up to $135k + 10% bonus & potential for equity
Remote – Must be based on the west coast and submit a resume to be considered
Essential Functions:
- Manage and oversee the company’s general accounting functions, including but not limited to general ledger entries, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Performs the review of financial reporting functions including supporting schedules for the preparation of companies audited financial statements and footnotes.
- Review monthly and quarterly financial statements and internal reporting workbooks.
- Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is available and compliance is maintained.
- Assist in the design of reports and processes that enhances the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of reports.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and variance analysis to senior management.
- Provide standard and ad-hoc analyses as needed, including BOD reports, creation of internal control structure, M&A integration, technical accounting guidance memos, annual impairment testing analysis, and providing guidance and mentorship of junior staff members.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand accounting impact and implications of transactions and perform complex reconciliations of large volumes of data.
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills required to manage multiple, concurrent tasks, as well as the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
Required Education and Experience:
- 4-6+ years of public accounting experience and/or a blend of public accounting and private industry experience.
- Experience auditing HC companies (preferably public companies) or working in industry for a HC services company is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field of study.
- CPA is required
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing financial statements.
- Prior experience with technical accounting guidance (ASC 606, 842, and SBC) and SOX guidance / IC’s
- Highly organized, resilient and superior attention to detail.
